Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 development podiatrist to join our community and hospital teams. There is support to progress to Band 6 based on experience, with rotations across Rheumatology, MSK and Diabetes/Wound clinics and occasional home visits.

You will have strong clinical skills for high-risk patients, good communication, and an inclination to contribute to service development within our integrated Trust.

Qualifications

BSc (Hons) with Local Anaesthesia Certificate
Postgraduate certificate or evidence of further training
Member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists

Responsibilities

To work within a team of podiatrists and assistants providing podiatric treatment in varied NHS settings.
To assess, diagnose, develop and implement care programmes for high-risk patient groups with specialised care needs.
To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of clinical work and refer onward only in urgent cases.
To deliver evidence-based podiatry interventions to maintain mobility and independence.
To work as an effective team member, including lone working when required.
