Job summary

NHS Highland invites applications for a motivated Podiatrist to join our North Highland Podiatry Service. The preferred base is Caithness with clinics at Dunbar Hospital (Thurso) and Wick Medical Centre, with options to be based in Inverness and provide outreach to Caithness.

You will have a BSc in Podiatric Medicine and HCPC registration, with training opportunities in nail surgery and LA. The post is permanent, 36 hours per week, and offers a Band 6 salary range (£43,231 – £52,679).

Qualifications

• BSc in Podiatric Medicine and HCPC registration required.
• No previous experience required; willingness to learn and deliver high-quality patient care.

• Nail surgery with extensive supervised practice
• Posterior tibial nerve blocks
• Deep enucleation techniques
• Verruca needling and blunt dissection
• MSK podiatry assessment and management
• High-risk wound care and limb preservation
