Job description

In partnership with the multi-disciplinary team, the Podiatrist will be responsible for providing clinical Podiatry services and undertaking research. The Podiatrist will perform a range of functions related to research planning, development, and execution, as well as providing treatment for foot conditions related to Diabetes and developing programs for home-treatment and self-help.

Responsibilities:
  1. Research
    • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to identify key research areas and develop research proposals.
    • Develop and write research proposals and present them to the ethics committee for approval.
    • Conduct research projects following ethical guidelines.
    • Prepare final reports and submit manuscripts for publication.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  2. Clinical
    • Develop and manage a preventive Diabetes foot care program and formulate individual treatment plans.
    • Provide consultancy services regarding Diabetes-related foot complications.
    • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in managing Diabetes-related foot complications.

All interventions should be consistent with evidence-based practice, applying knowledge and skills to meet patient needs.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Expertise:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Diabetic Podiatrist.
  • Experience in research methods and techniques.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a large multidisciplinary team.
  • Collaboration skills with other specialists in a multidisciplinary setting.
Education:

Bachelor’s, MSc, or an equivalent degree in Podiatry.
