Working across the vibrant London boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark, you'll be part of a friendly, innovative team of nearly 30 podiatrists delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in clinics, hospitals, and patients' homes.

To work as part of an autonomous and innovative team specializing in foot and lower limb pathologies.
To assess, diagnose, implement, and develop individualized assessment and treatment programs for patients with a focus on medical needs, across various settings including clinical, domiciliary, hospital, and external locations, with a holistic and multidisciplinary approach.

To collaborate effectively within the podiatry and multidisciplinary teams and with external organizations to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
We are a large community-based service comprising thirty podiatrists and two podiatry assistants working across the central London Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark. Our team is diverse and friendly, working closely with hospital-based teams at Guy's and St Thomas'. The hospital sites offer multidisciplinary wound care, musculoskeletal services, and podiatric surgery.
We hold regular education sessions to enhance our collective knowledge and quarterly meetings with hospital teams.
Clinical Duties
Responsible for the complex assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with various podiatric conditions, including diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, musculoskeletal, vascular, neurological disorders, systemic diseases, and more. You will treat diverse patient groups, including those with special needs, housebound individuals, children, the elderly, and those from different cultural backgrounds, sometimes with communication barriers.
Demonstrate sound clinical expertise, stay informed of current best practices, and contribute to developing evidence-based guidelines.
Provide, organize, and evaluate specialized podiatric care plans, referring to other specialists as needed, and facilitating safe discharges.
Undertake specialist diabetic foot assessments, management, and education, including working with challenging groups and managing foot ulcers.
Participate in departmental rotations, including Nail surgery, MSK, and acute rotations at hospital sites.
Work independently in various settings such as community health centers, residential and nursing homes, and patients' homes, including working with socially deprived populations.
Perform highly skilled procedures, including local anesthesia and minor surgeries, managing anaphylactic shocks if necessary.
Manage patient caseloads, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with trust policies.
Contribute to service development, audits, and health promotion activities, including foot health education and the use of specialist equipment like gait analysis systems and Doppler ultrasound.
