Job summary

University Hospitals Tees seeks newly or recently qualified podiatrists to join a supportive team. You will complete preceptorship and competencies portfolios as applicable and provide care across community venues and patients in their homes when able to travel.

You will assess and treat podiatric conditions, with basic biomechanical assessments and orthotics as part of the role. There is an emphasis on developing treatment plans, health education, and working collaboratively.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified or recently qualified podiatrists considered.
• Full support to complete preceptorship and competencies.
• Experience in community and home-visits settings beneficial.

Job description

We would like to offer an opportunity for newly qualified / recently qualified band 5 podiatrists to join our friendly team.

You will receive full support to complete preceptorship and junior competencies portfolio (if applicable).

The role is varied - you will provide care from a range of community venues along with providing care to patients in their own homes who are unable to attend clinic. It it therefore essential you have access to appropriate transport.

The role involves assessing and treating a range of patients with underlying health conditions which place their foot at risk, and those with a podiatric need. You will develop treatment plans appropriate to their level of risk and provide health education to patients to support their treatment to achieve optimal outcomes.

Along with general podiatry clinics the post holder will provide basic biomechanical assessments and treatments which may include exercise and the provision of orthotics.
