East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust invites applications from motivated Band 5 podiatrists to join our podiatry team in East Sussex on a 0.8 FTE basis. The role supports patients with complex needs and includes access to specialist clinics (nail surgery, biomechanics, diabetes) with rotations to maintain competencies.

You will be supported by a mentor, participate in the AHP Preceptorship, and engage in CPD activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Band 5 podiatrist to join our friendly podiatry team, We currently have 0.8 FTE vacancy.

Our podiatry caseload focuses on those who are medically at risk or who have a high podiatric need, consequently our patients tend to be complex with a variety of needs. We offer specialist podiatry clinics including nail surgery, biomechanics, and diabetes clinics. To enable you to undertake this role you will be encouraged to undertake rotations into specialist clinics to maintain competencies and undertake the AHP Preceptorship. You may also have a rotation into the Community Nursing teams.

You should be up to date with current best practice and demonstrate our ESHT values and behaviours in their day to day role working as part of a team. We value health promotion and patient education We therefore require a podiatrist who has excellent communication and assessment skills.

We encourage team members to take part in various CPD activities including clinical supervision, protected time, in-house training during team and department meetings in addition to external training sessions.

We are committed in providing you with a rotation of experience to build upon your undergraduate theory into practice experience.

You will be given a mentor and supported in your first podiatry job to insure it is a smooth and enjoyable transition into your new career alongside the ESHT preceptorship programme.
