HCPC registered podiatrist

Job description

We are looking for a Band 5 Specialist Podiatrist. You will join one of the largest and most forward-thinking Podiatry Departments in the country.

This role is for a highly motivated and professional HCPC registered podiatrist with graduate clinical experience to provide high-quality podiatric care for patients with pathological foot conditions and those at risk of developing serious foot health complications.

The Podiatry Department offers its own preceptorship package covering all aspects of peer review, clinical supervision, support, and mentoring. A competency programme is used for staff to ensure all work meets high clinical standards, which can lead to future opportunities for career development into a chosen specialist area within the service.

We embrace new ways of working using virtual consultations, Wound Matrix, and Rio for clinical documentation. The service is delivered in community clinics, health centres, GP surgeries, acute and community hospital sites, prisons, and patients' own homes. All staff are given the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of practice areas. If you seek a challenging post and want to deliver the best podiatry care, this position is ideal for you.

The post holder must have excellent diagnostic and clinical skills to deliver a range of treatments, including biomechanical interventions and wound care, to patients in Kent.

The clinician will effectively record all patient interventions and offer support, advice, and guidance to podiatry assistants, students, and administrative staff. The post holder must work effectively within the podiatry team and communicate well.

This role will develop the clinician's skills in treatment planning, assessment, diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation of podiatric care for diverse patients.

Supporting personal and interpersonal development through supervision and appraisal demonstrates a commitment to continuous professional development.

Rated ‘outstanding’ by the CQC, we are passionate about delivering high standards of patient care and excellent services to improve community health. We seek outstanding individuals who share our values: compassionate, aspirational, responsive, and excellent.

We believe that a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion enhances patient care and creates a happier workforce. We welcome applications from people of varied backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.

We ask for information about your protected characteristics on our application forms. This information isn’t visible to shortlisting or interview panels unless you opt for the guaranteed interview scheme due to disability. As a flexible working-friendly organization, we support you to work in a way that suits you, our patients, and us. Discuss flexible working arrangements that accommodate personal or family commitments. We will support you to work flexibly.
