Job summary

Recruit Therapists Limited is seeking a Podiatrist for our private clinic in Ilminster, Somerset. The role offers full-time or part-time permanent employed positions with a minimum commitment of three days per week and one evening per week.

You will manage a varied podiatry caseload, diagnose pathology and develop personalised treatment plans in a modern clinic with advanced facilities. Newly qualified and experienced Podiatrists are welcome; HCPC registration or eligibility is required.

• Degree in Podiatry required and HCPC registration or eligibility.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and support self-management for long-term outcomes.

All About You

We’re looking for a Podiatrist who genuinely cares about delivering excellent patient care and wants to keep developing clinically.

Essential:

• Degree in Podiatry

• HCPC registered as a Podiatrist, or soon to be registered if newly qualified

• Strong communication and patient-care skills

• Evidence-based approach to assessment and treatment

• Comfortable developing towards autonomous clinical practice

• Collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the wider team

• Keen to learn and explore areas of specialist interest

• Available for a minimum of 3 days per week

• Able to work one evening per week on rotation

• Able to reliably commute to Ilminster. If you're travelling from further afield, having your own transport may make the journey easier

Previous private practice experience and experience across a broader range of Podiatry treatments would be welcomed but are not essential.

Newly qualified Podiatrists are very welcome to apply.

What Will You Be Doing?

You’ll manage a varied clinic-based Podiatry caseload, assessing foot health, diagnosing pathology and developing appropriate treatment plans around each patient’s individual needs and goals.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across a broad scope of Podiatry, including Swift, needling, nail surgery, ABPI/TPI, Kardia, pressure analysis and bespoke orthotic prescription.

Patient education and preventative care are an important part of the role too. You’ll build ongoing relationships with patients, support self-management and help them achieve the best possible long-term outcomes.

You’ll work autonomously as your confidence and experience develop, while having access to mentoring, case discussion and support from the wider clinical team.

Working Hours and Environment

This is a full-time or part-time permanent employed position, with a minimum commitment of 3 days per week.

There is flexibility around the working pattern, which will be agreed with the successful candidate, but you’ll need to participate in a rota covering one evening per week.

Clinic opening hours are:

• Monday: 8:30am – 6:30pm

• Tuesday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:30pm

• Friday: 8:30am – 12:30pm

You’ll be based in a modern four-room private clinic, including a dedicated MSK room with footscan and treadmill facilities. You’ll also work alongside an associate Physiotherapist and have the support of an established administrative team.
