Job Profile: To co-ordinate and produce Podcast Content and assist with other radio content for UCB1 & UCB2.
Reports to: Content Coordinator. Works closely with Content Producer, Testimonies Producer, Testimonies Journalist, UCB 1 Team and UCB 2 Team, Sound and Vision Team.
Main Responsibilities:
- To produce, edit and launch podcasts, co-ordinating across other teams within UCB.
- To develop the video element of podcasts as part of our strategy.
- To lead on administration for podcasts, including implementing our strategy to expand our content and audiences.
- To create and post social media and YouTube content from podcasts.
Other Responsibilities:
- To assist with uploads of audio and video items to UCB Player.
- To assist with radio content on UCB 1 and UCB 2.
- To assist with setting up interviews with contributors, studio guests and artists.
- To work as part of the Content Team, within the Broadcasting Department.
- If necessary, to assist with outside broadcasts and in-house music recordings.
- To develop appropriate skills through regular training.
- To attend regularly team and staff meetings.
- To complete other duties that are reasonable and within your capabilities as requested by your team leader.
- To participate in target setting and review meetings with your team leader.
- Be alert to testimonies or impact stories from UCB supporters and others, forwarding them to the Testimonies Producer.
- Support all of UCB's fundraising activities and events - whether in prayer and/or directly in participation.
- Such other duties that are within the scope of your skills and capabilities that may from time to time be reasonably required.
Additional Skills and Knowledge:
- Existing knowledge of the podcast industry and current trends.
- Understanding of how video contributes to podcasts and ability to improve the visual aspect.
- An ear for a good story and understanding of engaging content for different audiences.
- Knowledge of podcast platforms and relevant content.
- Good knowledge of YouTube, creating content and supporting community building.
- Some experience of radio production techniques.
- Experience with audio editing software, such as Adobe Audition and AI software like Descript.
- Understanding of broadcast standard scheduling and playout software (e.g., Zetta).
- Willingness to resolve technical issues with hardware and software providers.
- Acceptable standard of written English for scriptwriting, descriptions, emails, etc.
