London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic POCT assistant to support the Point of Care Testing (POCT) manager. The role is fixed-term for 12 months to cover maternity leave and requires literacy and numeracy skills with MS Excel and Word proficiency.

You will work autonomously within policies, contributing to the organisation and performance of pathology POCT services across all sites and community settings served by the Trust.

Qualifications

• Science-based Foundation degree, HNC/Diploma or equivalent knowledge and skills.
• GCSEs or equivalent in Maths, English and Science.
• Significant experience in Point of Care role and UK NHS experience.

Responsabilités

• Support the POCT manager in organising and performing routine and specialised Pathology POCT services across the organisation.
• Ensure POCT services operate to agreed policies with appropriate training and supervision.
• Assist in extending POCT coverage to community sites and hospital wards as required.
