Role:

Location: You will be predominantly based at Bedlington Police Station during training, then agile (home-based as well as working from Bedlington Police Station)

Hours/Contract: Part-time – 18.5 hours per week, permanent

The role

At Northumbria Police, we value diverse backgrounds and skills to serve our community. We are looking for a PNC Support Services Administrator in our Information Management Department.

Your responsibilities include maintaining and updating the Police National Computer (PNC) and other systems, coordinating with colleagues and partner agencies, managing DVLA inquiries, warrants, HM court results, and general inquiries.

What you’ll do

  1. Update Systems: Ensure systems are updated accurately and timely, liaising with stakeholders to minimize risks.
  2. Handle Requests: Process requests from internal and external sources in compliance with legislation, challenging non-compliant requests.
  3. Manage Warrants: Create and maintain warrant information, gather additional data for offender apprehension, and monitor warrants.
  4. Effective Communication: Communicate promptly to resolve issues and support operations.
  5. Research and Resolve: Investigate issues on PNC records, including duplicates or incomplete data.
