Reporting to the Senior Development Manager, you will ensure effective project management practices are implemented and maintained within the AES team. You will oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to the oversight of financial, data, and administrative aspects of energy projects. Additionally, you will manage project risks and issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide regular project status updates to AES senior management.

Why Aggreko? Here are some of the perks and rewards:

  • A competitive salary and benefits package (including pension plan, bonus scheme, and Life Assurance)
  • Generous holiday entitlement, with options to ‘buy’ or ‘sell’ holiday
  • A focus on continued personal development

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and financial controls in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Implement processes for management of change, including evaluating proposed changes to project scope, schedule, or budget, assessing the financial impact, and coordinating approval processes with stakeholders.
  • Review project contracts, agreements, and purchase orders to ensure compliance with financial terms and conditions. Monitor contractor invoices, payments, and change orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Formulate and ensure adherence to project policies and processes, and define key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project performance.
  • Work with colleagues to identify cost-saving opportunities, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure resource efficiency and cost control.

  • You are an experienced PMO Controller with experience managing a portfolio of projects using digital systems to capture and report on budgets, schedules, and quality.
  • You have strong knowledge of available portfolio management systems and a track record of introducing new systems and practices.
  • You demonstrate a solid understanding of project risks, risk management, and reporting.
