Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Support the management of the Strategic Portfolio Office, delivering PMO, Governance & Reporting activities across the portfolio.
- Apply Portfolio Management practices and processes ensuring that the portfolio is consistently following Arch internal methodologies and tools.
- Identify and drive automation where possible in the areas of governance and reporting.
- Support data-driven decision making & reporting across the portfolio (e.g., Risk/Dependency management, project/program delivery).
- Support the management & administration of transformation tooling (Clarity).
- Support the continued development of dashboard reporting (Power BI/Clarity) and provide analytical insights using data to support Transformation Portfolio decisions.
- Assist in scoping of new initiatives – specifically high-level costs, benefits, dependencies.
- Produce metric-driven reporting across the transformation portfolio for initiatives of all sizes.
- Support resource forecasting aligned with transformation portfolio requirements.
- Ensure validity and consistency of reporting data across the transformation portfolio.
- Support the successful execution of key transformation initiatives as required.
- Communicate feedback continuously within the SPM team and with key transformation partners.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting across the transformation portfolio to facilitate executive decision-making within Arch International.
- Manage application access within the SPM team and broader as required.
Role Requirements & Skills
Skills / Competencies
- Experience managing a Portfolio Management function within financial services (London Market).
- Proficient in Project Management and reporting tools/systems (ideally Clarity/Power BI).
- Highly experienced in managing, developing, and producing executive-level briefing materials.
- Analytical skills in data analysis and interpretation to support data-driven decision making.
- Experience of financial management and benefit realization tracking in large transformation portfolios.
- Experience in Risk & Change Management and escalation procedures in project and portfolio contexts.
- Strong technical skills and a desire to learn new tooling and applications.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement solutions.
- Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Ability to work independently, draw conclusions, and make recommendations to the Strategic Portfolio Management and Governance Lead.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Project Management/Business Analyst accreditation required.
- Financial or Technical qualification desirable.
Experience
- 6+ years of experience in a Project Management Office, Business Analyst role with finance & analytical experience.
- London Market Insurance knowledge preferred.
