London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a PMO Lead to drive governance, risk management, and delivery excellence across the Risk Intelligence Engineering portfolio in the UK. You will partner with Portfolio, Programme, and Project Managers to oversee delivery performance and ensure adherence to group standards.

The role focuses on portfolio health, financial control, and capacity planning, with leadership responsibility for a team of PMO Analysts and ongoing capability development.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in PMO, portfolio, programme, or project management within a complex technology or engineering environment.
  • Proven ability to manage portfolio-level governance, risk, and reporting frameworks.
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and performance tracking.
  • Expertise in resource management and capacity planning.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing change and driving process improvements.
  • Leadership experience, including mentoring or managing delivery professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Governance & Risk Management: identify, assess, and manage risks across portfolios; ensure governance and delivery controls.
  • Portfolio Planning & Resource Management: track portfolio pipeline; enable workforce planning and align capacity with objectives.
  • Performance & Reporting: oversee portfolio status reports; provide insights on progress, risks, issues, scope changes, and resource impacts.
  • Financial Management: lead annual budgeting; conduct financial reviews; monitor cost and value delivery.
  • Portfolio Health & Delivery Excellence: maintain holistic portfolio health; implement frameworks to reduce delivery risk.
  • Change & Transformation Management: develop change roadmap; implement processes and new frameworks/tools.
  • People Leadership & Capability Development: oversee PMO Analysts; training, coaching, and leadership responsibilities.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The PMO Lead plays a critical role in driving governance, risk management, and delivery excellence across the Risk Intelligence Engineering portfolio. This role partners closely with Portfolio, Programme, and Project Managers to ensure robust oversight of delivery performance, resource optimisation, financial control, and adherence to LSEG Group standards.

The role provides visibility of portfolio health, supports strategic decision-making, and ensures consistent implementation of best practices across project delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Portfolio Governance & Risk Management:
  • Partner with Portfolio, Programme, and Project Managers to identify, assess, and actively manage risks across multiple key portfolios
  • Ensure compliance with LSEG Group standards for governance, risk management, and delivery controls
  • Drive proactive risk mitigation strategies and escape critical issues where required
Portfolio Planning & Resource Management:
  • Track and manage the portfolio pipeline, ensuring accurate and up-to-date visibility of demand and supply
  • Enable effective workforce planning and resource optimisation across the portfolio
  • Support prioritisation decisions by aligning resource capacity with strategic objectives
Performance & Reporting:
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of high-quality portfolio status reports
  • Provide clear, timely insights to senior management on:
  • Portfolio progress
  • Key risks and issues
  • Scope changes
  • Resource impacts
  • Maintain transparency and consistency in reporting standards across the portfolio
Financial Management:
  • Lead the annual portfolio budgeting process in alignment with strategic priorities
  • Conduct regular financial reviews to monitor performance against plan
  • Track and report on key financial metrics, ensuring cost control and value delivery
Portfolio Health & Delivery Excellence:
  • Establish and maintain a holistic view of portfolio health
  • Implement frameworks to track, measure, and reduce delivery risk at both programme and portfolio levels
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery effectiveness and operational performance
Change & Transformation Management:
  • Develop and manage the portfolio change roadmap
  • Lead the implementation of change management processes, policies, and best practices
  • Ensure effective adoption of new frameworks, tools, and delivery methodologies
People Leadership & Capability Development:
  • Oversee the work of 3 PMO Analysts, including hiring and onboarding
  • Support capability development through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing
  • Perform people leadership responsibilities where required, fostering a high-performing delivery culture
