Overview

The PMO Lead will oversee project management activities and ensure efficient delivery of technology initiatives within the public sector. This 6 month role is ideal for someone with a strong background in project governance and strategic planning. You will be working on their housing programme.

This public sector organisation operates within the technology department and is based in Surrey. Our client focuses on delivering impactful solutions to meet the needs of its community.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project governance frameworks to support technology initiatives.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure resource allocation aligns with organisational priorities.
  • Facilitate risk management strategies across all projects.
  • Support project teams in meeting deadlines and deliverables.
  • Coordinate communication between various teams and departments.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting for all ongoing projects.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the PMO.
Experience
  • Experience in project governance and management within the a local council or housing environments.
  • Knowledge of best practices in resource and risk management.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.

Description
  • The role is inside IR35 and the day rate is £450 to £550 depending on experience.
  • A 6-month contract with potential for extension.
  • Office location in Oxted with flexible working arrangements - 2 days a week in the office.
