Job summary

Beacon Hill Academy in South Ockendon and Grays is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Outstanding Academy. The successful candidate must be able to work at both main site on Erriff Drive, South Ockendon, RM15 5AY and Buxton Road, Grays, RM16 2YJ.

The role is a 1 year fixed term contract for the 2026/2027 academic year. Hours are 8.45am to 3.30pm, five days a week, term-time plus inset days, with part-time considered.

Qualifications

• Pupils aged 2 to 19 with PMLD experience beneficial
• Ability to work at both site locations (South Ockendon and Grays)
• Commitment to safeguarding and high welfare standards

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with PMLD including communication, development and engagement.
• Assist learning activities in line with the academy's Outstanding status.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment and team ethos
