Job summary
The Lantern Community Primary School in Ely is seeking Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support pupils in our busy, vibrant classrooms. These term-time only roles offer flexible hours (up to 32.5 per week) and a Meridian Trust Grade 5, Point 5 salary.
You will work closely with our SENDCo and Teaching Assistant team to provide one-to-one and group support, helping children progress using creative, adaptable teaching resources within a supportive environment.
Qualifications
- GCSE English & Mathematics Grade C (4/5) or above required
- Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards this
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEND and/or behavioural needs
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Adaptable and resourceful
- Understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and group support for pupils
- Work closely with SENDCo and TA team
- Adapt teaching resources to pupils' needs
- Help deliver engaging learning experiences and progress tracking
