  • Pay: Starting from £13 per hour
  • Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time available

Supply Desk is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) in Watford schools.

This is your opportunity to become part of a caring team that uses sensory-based, therapeutic approaches to help children flourish in a safe and inclusive environment.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils with PMLD, both in the classroom and during care routines.
  • Assisting with personal care (feeding, toileting, changing) and supporting physical needs as required.
  • Engaging pupils through multi-sensory learning activities, in line with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Using tools such as AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) to help pupils communicate and express themselves.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families to deliver a person-centred approach.
  • Helping create a calm, structured, and supportive environment where students feel safe and valued.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with PMLD, complex medical needs, or physical disabilities is highly desirable.
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children who require high levels of support.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and the dignity of every child.
  • An interest in sensory processing, communication aids, or therapeutic interventions is a plus.
