Job description

Teaching Assistant for Students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties Position: SEND/PMLD Teaching Assistant Location: Trafford Contract Type: full time from September Here at Axcis, we are looking for a teaching assistant to join a secondary SEND school in Trafford, to support with students with PMLD. The school is an incredibly supportive environment and are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive setting for all students. Believing that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow, regardless of their challenges. Key Responsibilities: • Assist the teacher in delivering personalised educational programs for students with PMLD. • Support students in daily living activities, personal care, and mobility. • Help create and maintain a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment. • Work collaboratively with other staff members, teachers and parents to promote students’ development. What we are looking for: • Experience working with students with profound and multiple learning difficulties • Working 1:1 with PMLD student • Working as a teaching assistant in a SEND setting • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs. • Relevant qualifications in special education, childcare, or a related field are an advantage. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Hours for this role would be Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4pm.
