Remedy Education is working with a specialist SEN school in Greenwich that is seeking a committed and enthusiastic PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) Support Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, term-time position offering rewarding and meaningful work with students who require high levels of care and tailored learning support.
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with PMLD
Assist with personal care, mobility, and feeding (including hoisting and manual handling)
Support communication using alternative methods such as PECS, Makaton, or communication aids
Work closely with class teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver EHCP targets
Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for pupils with complex physical and learning needs
Experience working with children or young people with PMLD or complex SEN
Comfortable providing personal care and using moving & handling techniques
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable students
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
Relevant training (e.g. Manual Handling, Safeguarding, Team Teach) is desirable but not essential
