Job description
Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife/nurse to join our early pregnancy and bereavement service within Rubislaw ward, Aberdeen Maternity Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Take a lead on improving the standards of early pregnancy and bereavement care.
  • Work in conjunction with specialist midwives for bereavement care to support women, families and staff across NHSG, liaising with third sector agencies and taking part in multidisciplinary reviews into care.
  • Be a visible leader for Rubislaw ward and collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to facilitate a programme aimed at increasing knowledge and competence in early pregnancy care and bereavement support throughout NHS Grampian.
  • Facilitate change and innovations in care and provide early pregnancy ultrasound training at a postgraduate certificate level.
Training

The postholder will be provided with early pregnancy ultrasound training at a postgraduate certification level.
