A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a lady in my 30’s living in the Porth area with my husband, 3 children, and my dog. I have Friedreich’s Ataxia, a rare, inherited, degenerative disease that damages the spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and the cerebellum portion of the brain. When I am tired, my speech and hearing are not as clear. I was born with the condition, diagnosed at 10, and my condition has worsened over time. I have been a wheelchair user since I was 17. I enjoy shopping, going to the cinema, and dining out.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to support me in accessing the community. I need assistance in my parenting role to attend appointments and events at my children’s school. Initially, we will go out locally to Porth, but over time we may go further.
HOURS OF WORK
8 hours per week
RATES OF PAY
£14.80 per hour

ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary initially. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay will be given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check, which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
