This is your opportunity to broaden your experience and perspectives, step out of the confines of a standard project role and expand your scope to work with an interconnected ecosystem of industry professionals.

In this role, you'll:

The Project Manager, Renewables Operations Integration is responsible for coordinating Transport for NSW's operational planning and delivery activities relating to the transportation of renewable energy infrastructure.

The role ensures alignment and collaboration across key internal stakeholders—including Freight, the Coordinator General, SICE, SPER, and the Regions and with external government and industry partners. It oversees the operational integration of renewables transportation, managing risks, analysing data, and coordinating solutions that enable safe, efficient, and sustainable freight movements to support the NSW energy transition

More specifically you will:
  • Manage and coordinate the execution of renewables transportation operational strategies for priority renewable energy programs, ensuring alignment with Transport for NSW objectives and broader government priorities.
  • Support coordination and delivery across all phases of the renewables transport program lifecycle, including scoping, feasibility, funding, planning, scheduling, stakeholder engagement, tracking, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate advice, analysis, and technical input on operational matters related to the transport of renewable infrastructure, working closely with internal experts and external stakeholders.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal and external partners—including other government agencies, local councils, regulators, and industry—to ensure effective communication, alignment, and resolution of operational challenges.
  • Identify, assess, and manage operational, safety, reputational, and financial risks associated with renewables transportation using Transport for NSW's risk management framework.
  • Monitor and analyse renewables vehicle movement data and operational trends to inform planning, reporting, and improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and updates for senior management and key stakeholders to inform decision making and ensure transparency of progress and issues.
