A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 13-year-old living in the Rhydyfelin area with my family. I am looking for Personal Assistants (PAs) to support me in the community, as I enjoy activities such as walking in parks, swimming, going to the beach, and possibly stopping for lunch on the way home. I also like to visit the trampoline park during quiet times.

I have sensory processing disorder, Pica, and Severe Autism, which can cause me to feel very anxious, lash out, pinch, shout, and find things overwhelming. I wear ear defenders at all times to block loud noises and avoid large crowds.

I am nonverbal but can say certain words to communicate. I am double incontinent, so personal care is required.

I prefer to go at my own pace and do not like to be pushed, but I am open to PAs making some decisions about our activities together.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To support me in the community and provide respite for my family.

I am looking for 2 PAs to provide 2:1 support.

HOURS OF WORK

2.5 hours per week, with 2:1 support.

RATES OF PAY

£12.00 per hour.

TASKS INVOLVED

• Personal care and toileting assistance.
• Ensuring my safety at all times during outings, providing full supervision.
