About the Client:

I am a confident, sociable lady in my fifties living at home with my parents in Tonteg, Rhondda Cynon Taf. I have epilepsy, a slight learning disability, and hydrocephalus (not affected for 40 years). I enjoy independence, social outings, shopping, swimming, and meals. I am computer literate and enjoy working on my laptop.

Purpose of the Job:

The main goal is to support and encourage me during social outings, ensuring my safety and helping me become more independent and confident in pursuing hobbies and interests.

Place of Work:

In the local area of Rhondda Cynon Taff.

Hours of Work:

4 hours weekly, Wednesdays 11 am to 3 pm, with some flexibility for cover during leave or sickness.

Rate of Pay:

£11.44 per hour.

Tasks Involved:

• Ensuring my safety at all times
• Driving me in your own car (mileage paid)
• Taking me swimming, to the gym, cinema, shopping, or other activities
• Reminding and prompting me to do things (e.g., taking my purse or phone, locking doors)
• Accompanying me to meals at local restaurants or pubs
• Encouraging me to try new activities or visit new places
• Contacting my parents or doctors if I am unwell
