Qualifications

  • Proven experience in operational plumbing or network technician environments.
  • Full driving license is required.

Job description

Job Title: Plumbing Maintenance Technician

Salary: Up to £34,000 + standby package

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus participation on a 1 in 5 daily rota.

Location: Tipton (field based)

We have a brilliant opportunity to join our network operations, customer liaison team as a Plumbing Maintenance Technician, working in the field carrying out work on our water network. You will actively own and resolve network issues in your area, and the resulting impact on customers and proactively seek new ways to improve our overall service to customers measured through Supply Interruptions and C-MEX.

The role

  • Attending face to face customer appointments and using your skills to resolve supply related issues.
  • Responding to leak investigations on the network and customers premises.
  • Undertaking valve operations on the network to support repair team activity.
  • Providing real time feedback of works undertaken via our field systems.
  • Distribution of alternative water supplies as required.
  • Supporting supply related incidents from initial response through to completion.
  • Participating in a 24/7 daily standby Rota on a 1 in 5 basis.

What You’ll Need

To be successful in this position you’ll need to be self-motivated person who thrives under pressure.

You will have previous experience in an operational plumbing, water operative or network tech environment.

Excellent communication skills, possessing the ability to appraise situations in a timely manner and make effective decisions.

You will have the ability to work efficiently on your own or as part of a team and be able to demonstrate experience of working in a customer facing role.

You will be skilled in the use of IT systems

Possess a full driving license.
