About the Role

Are you a qualified Plumber looking to transition into education? No formal teaching qualifications are required—just a desire to learn and contribute to the industry! We seek an enthusiastic and self-motivated Lecturer in Plumbing to join our Department of Construction. You will design and deliver plumbing courses, support student development, and contribute to departmental growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver engaging teaching and assessments across Plumbing programmes.
  2. Ensure compliance with awarding body standards to promote student success.
  3. Develop teaching materials and prepare Schemes of Work and Assessment.
  4. Conduct moderation, assessment, and verification processes.
  5. Provide tutorial support, monitor student progress, and communicate feedback.
  6. Maintain industry links and pursue professional development.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  1. Industry experience in Plumbing and Construction.
  2. Minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in Plumbing.
  3. Ability to inspire learners of various ages and abilities.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Commitment to student success and ongoing professional development.
Desirable
  1. Teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one.
  2. Experience with vocational assessments and verification.
  3. Knowledge of integrating Maths and English into vocational learning.
