You don't need to already hold a teaching qualification! The college is happy to support the right candidate through their Level 5 Diploma in Education, making this an ideal opportunity for an experienced industry professional looking to transition into teaching.

The Role As a Plumbing Lecturer, you'll deliver practical and theory-based training to learners, helping them develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for a successful career in the plumbing industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging practical and classroom-based plumbing lessons.
• Supporting students in developing essential plumbing installation, maintenance and fault-finding skills.
• Planning lessons and assessing learners' progress.
• Sharing your real-world industry experience to bring learning to life.
• Maintaining a safe and supportive workshop environment.
• Helping learners achieve their qualifications and progress into employment or apprenticeships.

What We’re Looking For Essential requirements:

• A minimum Level 3 qualification in Plumbing.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on plumbing industry experience.
• Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical plumbing skills.
• Good communication skills and a genuine interest in helping others develop.
• A professional, patient and approachable attitude.

Teaching experience is welcome but not essential. If you’re coming directly from industry, the college will support you in working towards your Level 5 Diploma in Education.

Permanent Opportunity Salary: £31,375 £40,912 per annum
