About the Plumbing Lecturer Role:

As aPlumbing Lecturerat Guildford College, you will deliver high-quality, interactive lessons that combine essential theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on training. You will work across ourfull-time, part-time, and apprenticeship programmes, supporting learners working towards theirLevel 2 and Level 3 Plumbing qualifications.

We're looking for a passionate and experienced plumbing professional who is eager to inspire the next generation of skilled tradespeople. Whether youre already in education or looking to transition from industry into teaching, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and practical plumbing lessons that meet industry standards
  • Equip plumbing learners with the technical skills, safety knowledge, and confidence required for the workplace
  • Prepare students for progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further study
  • Support learners in developing core employability and transferable plumbing trade skills
  • Collaborate with colleagues in our Construction faculty, known for its strong employer partnerships and outstanding vocational training

Salary:Up to £42,182 per annum (with potential for a hard-to-fill supplement, depending on qualifications and experience).Full-time & part time hours considered | Permanent | Based at Guildford College.

What do you need to be a Plumbing Lecturer at Activate Learning?

Were seeking someone with a strong plumbing background and a genuine interest in education and skills development. Previous teaching experience is a bonus, but not essential - we offer full training and support for industry professionals transitioning into teaching.

To be successful in this Plumbing Lecturer role, youll need:

  • ALevel 3 qualification(or higher) inPlumbing
  • Relevant, up-to-datePlumbingindustry experience
  • Teaching or mentoring experience(previous experience in Further Education, distance learning, or apprenticeships is desirable)
