  • Experience in reactive maintenance in line with SLA's.

Job description

Location: Manchester

Working hours: Full time 7.00am to 7.00pm, 7.00pm to 7.00am shifts, 4 on 4 off

A Mechanical Engineer is needed to undertake general plumbing tasks as part of the role, including general mechanical tasks such as maintenance and reactive calls. The role involves maintaining high standards of building maintenance for various FM companies. We require a fully reliable Mechanical Engineer who can work independently or within a team. The engineer should produce high-quality reports of their findings along with estimates for quotations. The role will involve being the face of the company on site, so a smart appearance and good communication skills are required.

Candidate Requirements & Additional Information:

  • Sound mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Experience working on commercial hot & cold-water systems
  • Approved & formal apprenticeship in plumbing/mechanical skills or relevant practical experience
  • Awareness of risk assessment & safety procedures with equipment
  • Ability to complete statutory and non-statutory maintenance according to schedules & SLA's
  • Experience in reactive maintenance in line with SLA's
  • Knowledge of health & safety standards, including ISO 9001 & 14001
  • Ability to read technical diagrams, work to plans, and communicate technical information effectively
