Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a specialist technical and vocational College in Northampton to recruit a permanent, full-time Lecturer - Plumbing & Heating from September 2026. You will deliver practical and theoretical lessons to diverse learners, act as a course tutor and contribute to curriculum development while upholding safeguarding and health & safety standards.

• Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Relevant industry qualifications in Plumbing & Heating.
• Previous experience within Plumbing & Heating industry and/or FE teaching.

• Positive, professional and collaborative approach to supporting learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons to full-time, part-time and short course learners.
• Act as a course tutor and support student progress.
• Contribute to curriculum development.
• Uphold high standards of teaching, safeguarding and health and safety throughout the College.
• Support learners across Plumbing & Heating courses.

The College is looking to appoint a permanent, full-time Lecturer - Plumbing & Heating to join their Building Services, Technical & Professional Faculty from September 2026. The successful Lecturer - Plumbing & Heating will deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons to full-time, part-time and short course learners, act as a course tutor, contribute to curriculum development, support student progress and uphold high standards of teaching, safeguarding and health and safety throughout the College.

The successful Lecturer - Plumbing & Heating will have:

• A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
• Relevant industry qualifications in Plumbing & Heating
• Previous experience within the Plumbing & Heating industry and/or Further Education teaching
