Job summary

Solutions Engineering Recruitment is seeking an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our team in Preston. You will undertake planned and reactive plumbing and heating works across a range of commercial and public-sector sites, with a focus on installation, servicing, maintenance, repairs and fault finding.

The role offers progression through the company, a salary of £30,000 - £40,000 (DOE), van and tools, and paid overtime with call-out incentives.

Qualifications

• Recognised plumbing qualification such as NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• G3 Unvented
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing and heating systems.
• Experience with hot and cold-water systems.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working on commercial sites and/or plant rooms.
• Full UK Licence

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive plumbing and heating maintenance.
• Install, maintain and repair commercial plumbing systems.
• Work on hot and cold-water systems.
• Install and maintain heating systems and associated pipework.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnose plumbing and heating issues.
• Work on commercial plant rooms and heating equipment.
• Install and repair radiators, valves, pumps, cylinders and associated components.
• Carry out pipework installations and modifications.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Undertake minor installation and refurbishment projects.
• Complete testing, commissioning and relevant certification.
• Identify potential issues and recommend appropriate remedial works.
• Complete job sheets, reports and other documentation accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.

Position – Plumbing & Heating Engineer

Location – Preston

Salary/Package

£30,000 - £40,000 (DOE), Van/Fuel Card, PPE/Tools, 1 in 6 Call out – with additional increment, & addition pay if called out. OT available – Paid at double time, & Career progression.

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join an established engineering team working across a variety of commercial and public-sector sites throughout the Northwest.

The successful candidate will undertake planned and reactive plumbing and heating works, including installation, servicing, maintenance, repairs and fault finding.

You will work across a varied client base, including healthcare, education, commercial, industrial and public-sector environments.

Key Responsibilities
