Job summary

LP&H Ltd is seeking a skilled Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our team in the North East. You will install, service, and repair domestic systems, ensuring safe operation and regulatory compliance. Strong customer communication and problem-solving on site are essential for delivering reliable workmanship.

We require solid practical experience, a full UK driving licence, and Gas Safe registration. LPG qualifications are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, and maintain domestic plumbing, heating, and hot water systems.
• Work safely with boilers, radiators, cylinders, pipework, pumps and controls.
• Diagnose faults and explain issues clearly to customers.
• Carry out bathroom/kitchen installations, leaks, and drainage work.
• Follow Gas Safe rules and UK Building Regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, and maintain domestic and leisure plumbing, heating, and hot water systems
• Work safely with boilers, radiators, cylinders, pipework (copper, plastic, steel), pumps and controls
• Diagnose faults accurately, explain issues clearly to customers.
• Carry out bathroom/kitchen installations, leak repairs, and drainage work
• Strictly follow Gas Safe Register rules, UK Building Regulations, health & safety standards
• Keep accurate job logs, timesheets, and complete all required paperwork
• Represent LP&H Ltd professionally: smart appearance, polite manner, respect for customers’ homes and premises

What You Must Have

• Solid practical experience in plumbing, heating, and boiler work
• Full understanding of UK safety codes and industry standards
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently, plan your day, and solve problems on site
• Good communication skills and customer‑focused attitude

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Qualifications in LPG preferable
• Experience with heating controls and system upgrades
