Job summary

MCR Property is seeking a Maintenance Operative for Parham Student Village in Canterbury. The role emphasizes plumbing expertise, day-to-day maintenance, and completing Planned Preventative Maintenance to keep residents safe and comfortable.

You will report to the Facilities Manager and help maintain a high standard of living across student housing, supporting compliance checks and resident needs.

Qualifications

• A background within plumbing with good working knowledge of plumbing systems.
• Experience in general property maintenance is essential.
• Basic technical knowledge of electrical systems is desirable.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day to day reactive maintenance across bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, corridors and communal spaces.
• Complete basic repairs relating to plumbing, electrical fittings, joinery, fixtures and fittings.
• Diagnose faults and implement timely, effective solutions.
• Ensure all maintenance work is safe and up to standard.
