Job summary

4I Mechanical Services Ltd is offering a Plumbing and Heating Apprentice Pipe Fitter/Plumber position in Woolpit, Suffolk. You will assist qualified plumbers with installation, maintenance and repair, and learn to read drawings and technical specifications.

The program includes time away for specialist training at West Suffolk College, studying Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician Level 3, Day Release to West Suffolk College. This is a full-time, on-site role with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or equivalent.
• BTEC in Plumbing and Heating at grade Pass.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified plumbers with installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems.
• Learn to interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications.
• Support installation of pipework, fixtures and fittings (sinks, toilets, boilers).
• Help diagnose plumbing issues and carry out basic repairs.
• Maintain tools, equipment and a clean working environment.
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
• Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of the apprenticeship.
• Communicate effectively with team members, customers and supervisors.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:
