Job summary

WPS is seeking a skilled Plumber to join the Responsive Maintenance team based in Skelmersdale. You will cover Skelmersdale, Wigan, Liverpool and surrounding areas delivering reactive maintenance for residents on a social housing contract.

Role is primarily site-based with occasional office visits. Applicants should have NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and a Full UK driving licence, with a proven track record in domestic plumbing maintenance.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent.
• Proven experience in domestic plumbing within maintenance or repair.
• Ability to deliver high-quality workmanship consistently.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused attitude with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plumbing repairs, installations and planned maintenance in domestic properties.
• Fault finding and repairs to water, drainage, bathroom and kitchen systems.
• Ensuring all plumbing work is completed to a high standard of finish and durability.
• Advising your Supervisor when additional specialist trades are required.
• Working independently or as part of a team with other operatives.
• Completing daily worksheets detailing tasks, time, and materials used.
• Maintaining productivity and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
