Plumber (Public Sector)

VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a Plumber for 3 months initially with the possibility of extension. You will predominantly be based in their Portadown site.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to fulfil a requirement to:

  • Undertake all plumbing work as necessary in the maintenance and refurbishment of Housing Executive stock, including bathroom suites/wet rooms, kitchen replacements, general pipework, fitting cylinders, tanks, radiators, sink-tops, immersion heaters, shower trays and units, and any other associated works.
  • Undertake, as and when required, first and second fix plumbing work.
  • Perform inspections of plumbing systems to identify repair and/or replacement needs.
  • Complete tasks outside their trade where required for operational purposes.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed an apprenticeship in plumbing (either time served or skills based).
  • Minimum of one year's relevant post-apprenticeship experience working in a plumbing environment.
  • Demonstrate practical knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety requirements and legislation in a maintenance/repair environment.
  • A full current driving licence to enable the post holder to carry out the required duties of this post.

Remuneration
£25,545 - £30,296 plus Van & Fuel Card.
