Job description

Role: Pipe Fitter / Plumber

Location: West Midlands

Benefits: GBP15 - GBP18 PH / Travel ½ hour each way, anything 20 miles or further door to door / 21 days + banks / 42.5hr contract / Overtime x1.5 / van & fuel card / healthcare after 3 months

We are a West Midlands based building services company who have been established for 40 years, providing Electrical, Mechanical, Air Conditioning and Gas Services across the Midlands.

We are recruiting for a Commercial Pipefitter / Plumber to join our installation team with some maintenance across the West Midlands, working on the NHS, Commercial council buildings, and MOD.

Responsibilities

1. Assemble, install, and maintain pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems
2. Study blueprints and building codes to determine pipe layouts and plan pipe installations
3. Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools or power tools
4. Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading
5. Weld, solder, or glue pipes together using various techniques
6. Test pipes for leaks using pressure gauges
7. Install and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
8. Collaborate with other construction workers to ensure efficient completion of projects

Essential Qualifications / Experience

1. Qualified plumber - City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in plumbing
2. Driver's Licence

1. GBP15- GBP18 PH
2. 42.5 hour week

4. Half hour each way to be given and anywhere beyond 20 miles from home paid door to door
5. Overtime rate x1.5
