Your new company

We are partnered with an NHS body that provides healthcare services across Hampshire. They are currently undergoing large-scale transformation, and as part of that are looking to expand their Estates and Maintenance team.

Your new role

As a Mechanical multi-trades operative, you will be carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance of plant and equipment in support of Maintenance and Capital Projects. Work will include reactive repairs to plumbing, heating, and ventilation systems, including:

  • General fault finding and rectification following reported breakdowns.
  • The repair, replacement, or installation of plumbing fixtures such as taps, WCs, basins, supply services, waste pipework, valves, and fittings.
  • Drainage systems.
  • Commercial heating systems.
  • Commercial boilers.
  • Vented and unvented hot and cold water and heating systems.
  • Air Handling Units (AHUs).
  • Fan motors (supply and extract).
  • Smoke / Fire Dampers.
  • Booster Pumps.
  • Medical Gases.
What you'll need to succeed

For this role, you will need:

  • Recognised and registered apprenticeship, or an NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing, Plumbing and Heating, Ventilation, or a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • A sound understanding of the basic principles of water, heating, and ventilation systems.
  • Able to fault-find, diagnose, and rectify plumbing/mechanical faults.
  • Driving License.
