Job summary

Gilmartins, a family‑owned business, seeks experienced Plumber Multi Traders with additional trades to join a responsive maintenance team. The role covers social housing properties across Buckinghamshire, including High Wycombe, Marlow, and Princes Risborough, with a 6pm–4am shift pattern (4 on, 2 off) that includes weekends and public holidays.

You will carry out repairs and maintenance to required scopes, using your own tools and a driving license, and you must have DBS (within 3 years) and

Qualifications

• Must hold a full driving license.
• Must own basic trade tools.
• Time served or relevant qualifications.
• Experience in social housing work a plus.
• DBS certificate valid within the last 3 years.
• CSCS card required due to Grenfell changes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out property repairs and maintenance works in social housing.
• Work to Scope of Works on PDA for each job.

Job description

Gilmartins is a family owned and run business; our staff are valued and our ethos is to promote from within. Our Board of Directors mostly started on the tools themselves so have a hands‑on understanding of the work we do.

We are well established in the social housing sector and provide reactive repairs for local authorities and housing associations.

Gilmartins are looking to recruit experienced Plumber Multi Traders with additional trades such as basic electrics, changing/replacing locks, window repairs/boarding up. The ideal trades person will have worked in social housing.

The job requires shift work between 6pm to 4am Monday to Sunday, on a 4 on 2 off rota basis,including when this falls on a Weekend and Public Holiday.

The job requires work and travel across Buckinghamshire, including areas HIghWycombe, Marlow, Princes Risborough and surrounding areas . We are looking for people who live locally and are happy to travel.

Experienced Plumber Multi Traders:

The role is to:

• Carry out property repairs and maintenance works social housing
• Working to Scope of Works on PDA for each job

Requirements for Job:

• Full driving license
• Own tools
• Time served or qualifications
• Experience of working in social housing
• DBS certificate (no more than 3 years ago)
• CSCS card due to changes in legislation following the Grenfell Inquiry
