Job summary

Gilmartins is a family-owned business delivering reactive repairs for social housing across Buckinghamshire. We are looking for experienced Plumber Multi Traders with additional trades such as basic electrics, locks, and window repairs.

The role requires 6pm–4am shifts on a 4 on 2 off rota, and travel across Buckinghamshire including High Wycombe, Marlow, and Princes Risborough. You must have a full UK driving licence and your own tools.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence is required.
• Own tools must be possessed.
• Experience in social housing is preferred.
• DBS certificate not older than 3 years.
• CSCS card is required by legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out property repairs and maintenance works – social housing.
• Work to Scope of Works on PDA for each job.

Gilmartins is a family owned and run business; our staff are valued and our ethos is to promote from within. Our Board of Directors mostly started on the tools themselves so have a ‘hands-on’ understanding of the work we do.

We are well established in the social housing sector and provide reactive repairs for local authorities and housing associations.

Gilmartins are looking to recruit experienced Plumber Multi Traders with additional trades such as basic electrics, changing/replacing locks, window repairs/boarding up. The ideal trades person will have worked in social housing.

The job requires shift work between 6pm to 4am Monday to Sunday, on a 4 on 2 off rota basis, including when this falls on a Weekend and Public Holiday.

The job requires work and travel across Buckinghamshire, including areas HIgh Wycombe, Marlow, Princes Risborough and surrounding areas . We are looking for people who live locally and are happy to travel.

Experienced Plumber Multi Traders:

The role is to:

• Carry out property repairs and maintenance works – social housing
• Working to Scope of Works on PDA for each job

Requirements for Job:

• Experience of working in social housing
• DBS certificate (no more than 3 years ago)
• CSCS card – due to changes in legislation following the Grenfell Inquiry
