Job summary

Howells Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Plumber Multi Trader for a night shift role covering South London. The position offers £48,000 per annum plus a company van and fuel card, on a permanent, full-time basis.

You will carry out plumbing repairs in occupied social housing, diagnose faults, and undertake multi-trade tasks including basic carpentry, electrical work, tiling and plastering, while delivering safe, high-quality work and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in plumbing (or similar).
• Proven experience in social housing reactive maintenance.
• Experience in basic carpentry, electrical work, tiling and plastering.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance in occupied residential properties.
• Diagnose and repair faults on domestic plumbing systems (taps, toilets, showers, sinks, pipework).
• Complete plumbing installations and replacements as required.
• Undertake multi-trade duties including basic carpentry and electrical work.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards while delivering great customer service.

Plumber Multi Trader

Night Shift

Location: Covering South London

Salary: £48,000 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card

We are currently seeking an experienced plumber multi trader to join a well-established reactive maintenance team, carrying emergency repairs out of hours within occupied social housing properties across South London areas.

Job Overview & Schedule

Shift Times: 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM

Rota Pattern: 4 days on and 2 days off rolling schedule, including weekends and public holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out a range of plumbing repairs and maintenance works within occupied residential properties.
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on domestic plumbing systems including taps, toilets, showers, sinks, pipework and drainage systems.
• Completing plumbing installations and replacements as required.
• Undertaking additional multi-trade duties including:Basic carpentry
• Basic electrical work (like-for-like)
• Small area tiling
• Patch plastering
• Diagnosing faults and resolving maintenance issues efficiently and effectively.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and to a high standard.
• Delivering excellent customer service while working within residents' homes.
• Managing your own workload and completing jobs within agreed timescales.
• Taking ownership of jobs from first visit through to completion.

Experience & Requirements

• Relevant plumbing qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) - desired
• Proven experience within social housing reactive maintenance.
• Strong plumbing experience with the ability to undertake additional multi-trade repairs.
• Experience carrying out basic carpentry, basic electrical work (like-for-like), small area tiling and patch plastering.
• Experience working within occupied properties.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively.
• Full UK manual driving licence (no automatic vans available).
