Job summary

Howells Recruitment is working with a leading Repairs and Maintenance Contractor within the Social Housing sector to recruit a Plumber Multi Trader for the East London area. This permanent role offers a base salary of £50,000 plus a company van and a fuel card.

The operative will perform routine property maintenance, handling multiple jobs per day, with a focus on high-quality workmanship and excellent resident service. Basic carpentry, patch plastering and tiling are also required as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plumber Multi in social housing or similar environment.
• City & Guilds / NVQ in Plumber level 3 (desirable)
• Knowledge of NHF Sors desirable
• Full UK driving licence, 3 points minimum
• Relevant trade qualifications (plumbing), CSCS card and Asbestos Awareness (desirable)
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance
• Experience using a PDA and job scheduling software
• Willingness to undertake a DBS check with no unspent convictions

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine property maintenance across multiple dwellings.
• Complete multiple jobs per day with quality workmanship.
• Predominantly plumbing tasks, with basic carpentry, patch plastering, and tiling as required.
• Maintain high standards of customer service for residents.

Social Housing Reactive Maintenance

We are working with a leading Repairs and Maintenance Contractor within the Social Housing sector to recruit a Plumber to join their team in the East London area.

As an operative within the Social Housing sector, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and improvement of properties, ensuring all work is completed to a high-quality and in compliance with H&S and relevant regulations. Your role will focus on carrying out routine property maintenance, completing multiple jobs per day, ensuring a best in class standard of customer service is provided to the residents and their homes in which you're working. You will predomintely be completing plumber work however you will also be required to complete basic carpentry, patch plastering & tiling.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Plumber Multi in social housing or similar environment.
• City & Guilds / NVQ in Plumber level 3 (desired)
• Knowledge of NHF Sors desirable
• Full, UK, Clean driving license, minimum of 3 Points
• Relevant trade qualifications in plumbing, CSCS card and Asbestos Awareness cert. (Desirable)
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance.
• Experience using a PDA, good IT skills with experience using job scheduling software
• Willingness to undertake a DBS check - with no unspent criminal convictions
