Job summary

Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL) is seeking an NVQ level 3 qualified Plumber to join the mechanical and facilities maintenance team at HMP Grendon Springhill. The role is permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday, 39 hours, within a Category B/C prison context.

You will work alongside Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, and Admin staff to provide a safe, reliable, and compliant building service, contributing to rehabilitation and safety for prisoners and staff.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 plumbing or equivalent required.
• Experience with commercial/industrial heating, water, or building services.
• Two years' experience in a plumbing role or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plumbing and heating systems at HMP Grendon Springhill.
• Work Monday-Friday, 39 hours, as part of a supportive facilities team.
• Ensure compliance with Water regulations and Legionella L8 requirements.
• Collaborate with the facilities team to maintain safety and security within the prison.
