Remedial Plumber

Requirements for applicants:

• Minimum level 2 NVQ plumbing qualification or equivalent
• Experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude and technical ability
• Ability to solve problems and offer solutions
• Experience working unsupervised, leading a team, and overcoming challenges to complete tasks
• Ability to discuss technical issues confidently and accurately record detailed engineer reports and complete log books
• Capable of physical work, including lifting, carrying, and climbing
• Full UK driving license

Duties and responsibilities:

• Plumbing works including dead end/leg removal, replacing ball valves, installing insect screens, tank vents, fitting lids, lagging, replacing TMVs, inspecting & servicing TMVs, replacing taps, re-routing pipework, water heater replacements, softener installation, equipment installation, tank replacements
• Temperature monitoring of tap outlets and tanks/cylinders
• Cleaning and disinfection of shower heads & outlets
• Visual inspections of water systems
• Water sampling and analysis of closed systems using site test kits
• Chemical dosing
• Cooling tower cleaning, disinfection, and analysis
• Water feature analysis, sampling, and C&D's
• Descaling & internal inspections of calorifiers & water heaters
• Cleaning & disinfection of pipework systems and cold water storage tanks in accordance with BS 8558:2011
• Mains injection disinfections
• Softener servicing & disinfections
