Job summary

Morgan Sindall Property Services is seeking a Heating Fitter to join our Warrington team. You will replace central heating and hot water systems in domestic properties, including pipework, radiators, hot water cylinders, valves and insulation.

The role involves paid out-of-hours callouts on a rota with the North West Team, training on a handheld device, and a strong emphasis on safety and customer service. Candidates should hold Level 2 NVQ/SVQ in Domestic Heating and a UK driving licence; JIB

Qualifications

• Experience in domestic heating or heating & ventilation is required.
• Knowledge of H&S best practice.
• A Housing background is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Replace central heating and hot water systems in domestic properties.
• Install and connect pipework, radiators, hot water cylinders, valves and insulation.
• Attend paid out-of-hours callouts on a rota with the North West Team.
• Use a handheld device to receive and complete tasks with safety and efficiency.

Job description

Permanent - Full Time – 40 hours per week

We are looking to recruit a Heating Fitter to join our team in Warrington.

About the Role

Working to deliver the best quality service, you’ll be carrying out replacement of the central heating and hot water systems to domestic properties which will include pipework, radiators, hot water cylinders, valves and insulation.

The role also includes for paid out of hours call outs on a rota basis shared with the North West Team.

You’ll receive and complete assigned tasks using a handheld device (full training), working efficiently and safety in line with best practise to achieve excellent customer experience.

About You

Previous experience within a similar role, you’ll have the ability to work in all weather, operating small hand tools and will be able to follow written and verbal instructions. You'll have excellent working H & S knowledge and knowledge of communal district heating and hot water supplies. Ideally you will have a social/local authority housing background.

Essential Qualifications Required:

• Appropriate Level 2 NVQ/SVQ; Level 2 NVQ Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Domestic Heating or Heating & Ventilation
• JIB PMES Heating Fitter Blue Card or working towards.
• You must hold a valid full or automatic UK driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months as a company vehicle will be provided (work use only).
• The role offers the opportunity for paid out of hours callouts.
