With specialists focused on Information Technology, Estates Development, Estates Operations, and University-wide Facilities, the Directorate of Technology, Estates and Facilities collaborates to deliver solutions across both the physical and digital landscapes.

This vacancy is to join our Estates Operations and Maintenance team which includes fully qualified and semi skilled trades colleagues.
About the role
We are seeking skilled Plumbers to operate within our friendly, supportive and multi-skilled technical team to undertake planned maintenance, installation, alteration and repair work.
The University of York offers an attractive and welcoming working environment, covering 400 acres across sites in Heslington plus City Centre locations, including the recently refurbished Guildhall. You will be working on a variety of building types and technologies, providing essential support to a diverse community of staff, students and the general public who use these facilities.

We largely operate core hours Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm, but during periods of high demand the team is expected to work flexibly to ensure continuity of the service. You will be part of an on-call rota team covering business critical issues out of hours and at weekends, with overtime paid in addition to the call out allowance for attendance on site.
