Job description

We are currently looking for Pipe fitters for screw fit work on a chilled water system. 12 - 16 weeks work doing pump skids and valve systems.

Applicants must be fully qualified and hold a valid CSR / JIB-PMES Skill card.

Duties
- Install, assemble, and maintain pipes and pipe systems according to specifications
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools or power tools
- Weld or solder pipes and fittings together
- Test pipe systems for leaks using pressure gauges or other testing equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure efficient and effective installation of pipe systems
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to building codes and regulations

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or similar role
- Proficient in welding, including various techniques such as TIG, MIG, and stick welding
- Ability to build, plumb, and maintain pipe systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating pipe lengths and angles
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Knowledge of different types of pipes, fittings, valves, and other plumbing materials
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
