The Role

Due to continuous success here at Fortem, we are currently recruiting for a Plumber to join our repairs and maintenance team at Orbit Housing based in Northamptonshire and surrounding areas. (Therefore travel is essential)

Core Hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am-4:30pm.

As a Plumber you will be ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision. The Plumber takes ownership of work, aiming for successful turnaround times, operating within the company Health and Safety guidelines, and remaining within budget and time parameters, whilst being courteous and professional on site.

The Customer

Fortem's contract with Orbit Housing covers over 17,000 properties across Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Nuneaton, Northampton, Milton Keynes and Bedford. We have multiple workstreams, including Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works and Re-Roofing. Duties and Responsibilities

1. Completing Plumbing works for Social Housing responsive repairs and maintenance as per the specification, working in a timely and productive manner.
2. Advising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required.
3. Working in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
4. Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems electronic devices.
5. Affording excellent customer service to client representatives and tenants.
6. Arranging purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner.
7. Comply with safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times.
8. Operating within the company's occupational road risk policies and procedures.
9. Using a PDA smart phone to correspond daily with the Repairs Planning team and colleagues to update progress and completion information for your allocated work.

What you will need

Essential criteria: NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent / OR Qualified by experience will be considered.

Full UK driving licence (max 5 points).

Desirable criteria: Social Housing experience and Unvented G3.
