Annual salary: up to £35,343.00

Full Time Permanent 42.5 hours a week

Salary up to £35,343 per Annum, plus, company van & fuel card

About the Role:

As a Plumber you will ensure repair and refurbishment works are completed on time and to a high standard, adhering to agreed standard operating procedures. You will take ownership of construction, fault finding, and maintenance repairs, aiming for first-time completion while staying within budget and time constraints. Central to your activities will be the customer experience, maintaining professionalism in all communications and interactions, including appearance, company ID, vehicle condition, and adherence to Health & Safety requirements. You will process all tasks electronically using a handheld device (PDA), including worksheets, timesheets, photographic evidence, van stock replenishment, booking annual leave, vehicle inspections, safeguarding issues, risk assessments, and method statements. Additionally, you will keep all supplied company assets in good condition, reporting any damages to your Supervisor/Manager. Specific tasks will include plumbing repairs (internal and external), fault finding for leaks, replacement of sanitary ware, small carpentry works, replacement of baths, and possible loft works.

Key Criteria:

  • NVQ level 2 in plumbing
  • Experience in plumbing
  • Water by laws certificate
  • Good Communications
  • IT Literate
  • Provide own hand tools
  • Full Uk Driving licence.

All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.

To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.

Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
